Getting Msys and Mingw to work on Windows Vista

I am trying to get Msys and Mingw installed on my windows vista home premium 32 bit installed onto my laptop does anyone know how to do this since thats what the Paulo (creator of Minpspw) uses he tried to help me but i couldnt get it done because he uses xp can someone help me with this mingw compiles make files fine but msys wont run .sh files including toolchain.sh and the msys cmd doesnt come up either it just flashes and closes out any suggestion or successful links would help

use Heimdall's windows native pspsdk

that is what i am currently using but i want to be able to compile the psp toolchain myself so i can compile libraries too and just to get msys and mingw working on my computer

oh well...
I installed msys following this http://www.mingw.org/wiki/msys, but I have XP
I dont think there's something XP-specific though...
...sorry for my english...
