finding free space in flash0?

how do you do it?

i've searched here and it doesnt really give a clear answer

Figure it out from FAT table. No other working way has been posted so far.

A really dumb but working way to test it without going down to fat table level is by writing a big chunk of memory to flash in a new file and noting how many bytes were written before deleting the temporary file again...

I really suggest checking the fat table though.
