The video shows him running nmap about 3-4 times, and the psp restarts. Possible exploit?

Sometimes its nice to give a little summary or piece of the article. Just in case the linked site goes down or if someone is looking for topics like this by searching the forums.

Being a security geek and all, I wondered what ports the PSP had open when it was connected to the network. So, I fired up nmap and located the device and then scanned it to see what I might find. Alas there was nothing...but one scan wasn't enough!

The next time I did the scan, I decided to probe all 65535 ports. I then became impatient and figured I would surf a little. No sooner than I had typed in my next page with my custom keyboard then the darn PSP reset on me!

haha, i just thought about what this is going to turn into...
Eventually... linux will make it to the psp, one way or another. So someone will run nmap on it..... fun with friends ^^

I found a similar thread over on PSP-Vault about people finding open ports on their PSPs.. thought some folks might be interested.

I did a port scan on my PSP last night and found port 21 to be open along with SMTP and POP3 ports open. I attempted to login and my ftp client tried to connect but, I need a username/pwd. Any help on this?
