Does anyone know what happens if you, for example, boot a European game on a Japanese PSP and it asks to update the firmware?
Is it safe to do so?
I have a Japanese PSP and bought European Burnout Legends which I suspect will want to update to Firmware 2.0. As the default firmware online now is 2.01 it seems logical to let it update from the copy on the UMD, as at least I know that one hasnt been hacked or is bogus.
Im still awaiting a replacement screen for my PSP so I can't test it yet, but it would be nice to know its safe to update in advance.
