Running programs on PS2

Post by Euphilos »

Hello,

My question is not about running programs during development, but after that - such as showing them to friends.

I've read that they can be burned on a standalone CD - but this means that the PS2 it runs on needs a modchip, right?

Are there any other possibilities a program could be run? Such as from a memory card, or directly from the Internet? Anything that doesn't require the console to be tweaked?

Thanks for any help...

Swap discs, ARMAX, from a memory card, indy exploit, splinter cell save(XBOX only?)
just some things to search for.

Thanks Kojima, I'll google after your hints. Do you know if it's possible to load directly from a memory card - or must techiques be combined?

Well I'm new myself so not entirely sure. I do know though if you use the SMS iso it boots to a loader that lets you load stuff from your memory card (In my case sms)
But again, you'll need a way to boot the sms disc so a mod chip/exploit will no doubt be needed at some point.
