Compiling code with DOS on a linux machine

Probably a noob question, but i would like any information on compiling code in DOS, as i am loaning this from a friend, until i can get my XP fixed

Please ONLY post any tips, and other information as i am busy working on a project, and bim in a real hurry

"DOS on a linux machine"? What are you talking about?
If you have a Linux machine, just use the toolchain normally.
If you really only have DOS, then no, you cannot use the toolchain.

sorry, it took me a while to realize that i can compile without with linux, as i was thinking of how i had to add cygwin first that all, just a little lost in thought

I wasnt trying to rush anybody, or wasnt trying to be offensive either, as i was careless about it at the time
